HOW TO : ROOT GALAXY TAB2 ICS 4.0.4

steps to ROOT Galaxy Tab ICS 4:04 as follows:

1. Download Odin3v1.85.zip

2. Download CWM ics 4.0.4

3. Download update.zip.zip4. Make sure USB Debugging Mode in GTab2 active by going to Settings - Developer Option - USB debugging5. Copy the file "update.zip.zip" to external memory in GTab2. Make sure to copy it to the root directory on extSdCard, not on sdcard6. GTab2 Reboot into Download Mode by:- Turn off GTab2. Press and hold the Volume Down button while press the Power button. Press the Volume Up button to confirm enter Download Mode.7. Run ODIN, GTab2 connect via a USB cable, make sure the box under ID: COM port which is filled with GTab2 connected.8. Select the PDA button and browse to the file "recovery.tar.md5" that was downloaded in step 29. Press the Start button and wait for it to reboot GTab210. Unplug the USB connection GTab211. GTab2 Reboot into Recovery Mode by:- Turn off GTab2. Press the Volume Up and Power. When the Galaxy Tab logo appears, remove the Power button but keep press the Volume Up.12. After entering CWM recovery menu, select "install zip from sdcard" (use volume keys to navigate up or down) and press the Power button to select13. Select "choose zip from sdcard" and select the file "update.zip.zip" which had already been copied in step 514. Wait until the update process is complete zip.15. Return to the main menu in recovery by selecting the "go back"16. Choose menu "reboot system now" and let GTab2 restart17. Wait until the boot process is complete and the homescreen appears.18. If the application already exists in the menu Superuser, CONGRATULATIONS! GTab2 you are rooted
